In its latest announcement, Asus brought an update for its ROG Ally which is about to bring a change in the running of the games. This looks like a driver-level take on frame generation which is to artificially generate extra frames to make the frame rate more which works on all the DX12 and DX11 PC games. It is in opposition with the tech like FSR 3, which includes frame generation but needs support to be code in the game by the developer. 

You must have heard of AFMF (AMD Fluid Motion Frames) earlier as it has been around for a while now, which entered the beta layer last year and was officially release in January 2024. ASUS has bought it over to ROG Ally now, so it must be available for the users now. 

After the update, ASUS explains the process to the users which is to open the AMD software and then get to the Gaming section. Followed by Graphics and toggle on AMD fluid motion frames. Further, ASUS states that AFMF is not available in the command centre yet, however, they are working on incorporating it soon.
